Feb. 6, 7 p.m.Ages 5 and up

Storytelling Concert with Donald Davis and Bil Lepp. Bil is a six-time champion of the West Virginia Liar's Contest, and while his stories may not be completely true, they are always honest. Donald tells stories so personal, you’re sure to find yourself in every one of them—and a friend along the way. A "don't miss this one" performance presented in partnership with the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival Midwinter Conference. This event will be held at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center (1355 West 3100 South, West Valley City). No strollers or babes in arms, please.

The Three Wishes Puppet Show. This is a tale about a mysterious lantern, three wishes, a spoiled princess, a Sultan and a determined Gene who wants to teach her a lesson in the power of magic.

Your Imaginary Friends Present: Awesome Animal Adventures. Are you enthusiastic about elephants? Have you been wishing for walruses? Do you dig dingos? Join Steve and Teresa Gashler as they learn about some of the most amazing animals around. Stories and puppets depict animal folktales from all over the world. Sing along to familiar animal songs and laugh at some new ones. Through the adventures you may encounter some animal magic.

Hearts, Lace and Love Design a Valentine. Come to the library and make a special valentine for someone special.

Feb. 17, 3:30 p.m.Families

Monte L. Bean Life Science Reptile Program. Come and learn about the four groups of reptiles. Animals include a live turtle, lizard and snake.

Feb. 21, 7 p.m. Girls ages 8 to 12 with adult

Great Reads for Girls. Join this mother/daughter book discussion group, with wonderful books to discuss along with craft activities and treats provided. We meet the third Tuesday of the month. Come and meet new friends and have fun too.
