Learn the fundamentals of henna body art in this hands-on, beginner friendly workshop with Jawaher Designs! In this class you will first learn how to mix fresh henna to achieve the perfect natural orange to red brownish color. You will then learn the right way of holding the henna cones to achieve fine detail work as you pipe your designs. Once your materials are prepped, Jawaher will then teach you how to make simple, eye catching flower designs as you create beautiful artwork on your non-dominant hand/arm that will last a few days. Beginners welcome and all supplies provided. We’re thrilled to present an introduction to this incredibly customizable art form as part of our New Americans Workshop Series in partnership with the International Rescue Committee, with funding from the Salt Lake Arts Council.
